Our Services

Certiquality is accredited by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest  Certification Schemes (PEFC ™) to carry-out Chain-of-Custody certification, which guarantees that any wood (or wood-based product) present in the final product originates from a certified forest, managed according to PEFC ™ standards, and ensures the traceability of such product at the successive stages of its processing and transformation.

Framework


The PEFC ™ Council (the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is a worldwide not-for-profit organisation promoting sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification. 
The PEFC ™ Council endeavours to promote good forest management practices and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced in compliance with the highest environmental, social and ethical standards. The PEFC ™ logo and label provide information on the origin of products emanating from sustainably managed forests. The main purpose of the PEFC ™ logo and label is to encourage the demand for and the supply of products originating from forests that are managed in a sustainable manner, thereby stimulating the potential market trend towards continuous improvement of the world's forest resources.

Recipients

Products originating from forests: timber  and timber-based products as well as derived products (pulp and paper). Non-timber forest products may also be PEFC™ certified
Being PEFC™ certified enables your company to demonstrate its commitment to environmental sustainability to its customers.
PEFC™ certification is evidence that your product originates from forests which are managed sustainably, according to rigourous international standards.
PEFC™ give the opportunity to brand products with an internationally recognized trademark that is highly appreciated by the end-consumer.
PEFC™ certification will give your company access to additional markets and customers.
PEFC™ certification encourage sustainable forest management and the legal sourcing of materials.

The Certification Process

  • CERTIFICATION APPLICATION: the company sends a completed application form to Certiquality, which can be downloaded from the website www.certiquality.it.
  • OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE: on the basis of the information supplied, Certiquality sends an offer which, once accepted, will initiate the certification process.
  • AUDIT: following a succesful certification audit, a certificate is issued which is valid for five years.
    Annual surveillance audits are performed.

Such audits may be integrated with audits against other standards, and particularly with the following: FSC-CoC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EMAS, REMADE IN ITALY, EPD, Consortzio Italiano Compostatori (CIC) compostability, FOOTPRINT, EUTR (Regulation (EU) No. 995/2010).
